We started life as a trio, cramming into corners of pubs and clubs in London, cutting our teeth playing jump blues and early swing. Back then we didn't even have a drummer, but convinced our singer Ned to give it a shot. He learnt his chops on the job,

 quickly becoming a proficient singer-drummer.

 

With this unique setup and Tim's engaging piano playing we were soon being booked to play larger venues and festivals. The bigger stages called for permanent fixtures on bass and sax and we were lucky to rope in two old friends: Oisin Meehan on bass

and Steve Mathers on Sax. It was on stage one evening, jamming with a mish-mash of musicians, that we met guitarist Andy Twyman. His phenomenal blues playing blew us away and he joined the band the following week, filling the shoes of the departing Ben Worsley. Since then the line up has cemented and we've explored an eclectic range of Blues music, from our roots playing boogie woogie and swing to stomping chicago style and into the psychedelia-tinged Blues of the 60's.

With this broad stylistic backdrop we began to craft our own material, gradually teasing these tunes into our set, upping the intensity of our performances as we began

to communicate our own ideas. We explore themes of love and loss, but also tackle broader concepts like the effect of the pandemic and the destruction of the natural world. Having a platform to do this through our love of Blues music has long been a goal for us, so we're really excited to be taking this music into the studio to produce our first fully original releases.
